The major event of the month ‘Tea with Alice Kettle’ is nearly upon us. Preparations are well in hand. The only slight cloud on the horizon is that filled with snow. If anyone reading this would like to know more, head over to my News page
Next year is going to be a hectic one. Firstly there is the previously mentioned Alice Kettle talk in January. Secondly there is the long(ish) run up to our final exhibition in July. This is not just a question of producing a final body of work, we are also required to set up and run the exhibition, which requires a lot of forethought, planning and organisation. I have rather added to the pressure by taking a designer-maker stand at the Fashion, Embroidery and Stitch show at the NEC in March where I will be launching my new range of naturally dyed threads, fabrics and fibres to the general public. Since it is a designer rate stand, I will also need to display work, which has to be separate from my final body of work which will obviously be kept under wraps until July. Lots to think about, but in the meantime I am taking a well earned rest.
